Workshop on structure and retrieval of UN documentation
Objectives: To deepen and update participants' knowledge and understanding of the interrelationship between the structure of UN documentation and retrieval tools.
Audience: Librarians and documentalists dealing with UN documentation

Content: provides concise answers to questions like:
  • What are the main types of UN documentation (masthead documents, official records, resolutions, sales publications, unsymbolled documents)?
  • How do I read the document symbol?
  • How do I search for UN documentation?
Place : United Nations Library
Library's training room (B.248) which is located on the 2nd floor of the Library.

Timing : 3 hours hands-on training in library training room

  • 11:15 - 13:00 UN Documentation - Research tools (Cristina Giordano / Vincent Hermie)
  • 13:00 - 13:15 Visit of the Library (Ruth Hahn-Weinert)
Price : Free of charge for AILIS members (priority is given to AILIS members - max 20 trainees).
Non-members pay 50 chf.
